The majority of us go to bed and wake up more tired. This is not how it’s supposed to be. 

Waking up feeling groggy, irritable and dreading your day sound familiar? You are not alone. Many of us know all too well this common scenario, including myself. If you are having trouble sleeping, it’s a serious matter.

We spend roughly ⅓ of our life sleeping. This should be a restful, reparative time for you to heal so you can be your best. If your sleep is not giving you what you need, here are 3 sources you may be missing. 

  1. Get your circadian rhythm aligned. Pay attention to your light in the morning and evening. This light/dark rhythm is necessary for optimal sleep. 
  2. Identify factors in your mouth like your tongue and throat that unknowingly wreck sleep. These muscles support your breathing and may need attention.
  3. Train your breathing to improve your nervous system, mental health and sleep. They are all connected.
