New Year….Let's Get Back to Basics
The new year is a great time to get back to basics with your health. On the path to better health I have experimented with so many things: intense protocols, supplement regimens, cleanses and very restrictive diets. Although they helped, I was still waking up several times during the night, had frequent headaches, lots of food sensitivities, anxiety and often felt exhausted.
On the outside I looked healthy, but I was missing the core tenets of health that are nourishing to the nervous system, the mind and body. Not restrictive and guilt driven.
Lifestyle habits that shift you to your natural thriving state are so much more doable and enjoyable in the long run. Fill your day with basic foundations:
☀️ Morning Sunlight
🫁 Improving Your Breathing - I switched to nasal breathing, got my tongue to support my airway, and cut my resting breathing rate in half with breathwork. The biggest benefit was in calming and slowing down my mind.
🥗 Eating what is available locally instead of feeling the need to eat perfect.
📱 Avoid artificial light at Night, block the blue light
🌘 Darkness for Sleep
It’s amazing what you can achieve in a short time when you get back to basics.
